    Simpleway MP is a fully balanced inline microphone preamplifier for ribbon and dynamic microphones. It is designed to provide an ultra-clean extra gain of +20dB (or +6dB) with very low noise floor and perfect impedance bridging before the main amplification stage, be it a stand-alone preamp, console or audio interface, which is particularly important when working with classical passive ribbon microphones. The output stage of the device is designed to have low output impedance in order to minimise the influence of wire capacitance allowing for very long cable runs without any audible signal degradation, which is perfect for stage applications. This inline preamplifier is mainly intended for work with ribbon microphones, but don't hesitate to try it with your good old SM57, SM58 or any other dynamic mic - most likely you will hear them the way you've never expected them to sound!

  • Technical aspects or what makes MicOne great.

    1. We decided not to use any transformers or condensers on the signals path from the capsule to the output. Such an approach is virtually unheard of in microphone design. It helps to avoid any coloration of the signal and make the sound extra clear.
    2. We did not use any Op-Amp and deep feedback loops to achieve high quality signal.
    3. MicOne has super low impedance of 10 Ohms, which allows you to use long cables without any signal loss.
    4. A -12 dB pad function allows you to put the mic right where the action is: loud drum kits, guitar or bass cabinets. High quality components and the way the circuit is designed allows the MicOne to handle much higher SPL than the other brands.
    5. The “Dark Side” mode reduces sibilants and is recommended for vocalists with really bright voice timbres.

      The main concept of the hybrid microphone preamp was a combination of two main circuit topologies – tube and transistor. The first copes with high voltages, and the second – with electricity, lowering the resistance and preparing the signal for output to the next device. The hybrid solution solved a number of technical problems, simplifying circuitry, bypassing the heap of passive elements in the sound path, which are inherent in tube equipment. The patent-pending preamp circuitry makes it extremely stable with the power sources it is connected to, as well as tube for replacement choice, thereby making the device usage simple and less problematic. There is no need to search and select correctly matched tubes of certain manufacturers. Preamp effectively transforms the magic of tubes, no matter what they are.
